A removable partial denture, also referred to as a partial, replaces one or more missing teeth scattered throughout a smile.  A partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from changing position.

Removable partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases, which are connected by metal framework.  Removable partial dentures attach to your natural teeth with metal clasps or devices called precision attachments.  Precision attachments are generally more esthetic than metal clasps and are nearly invisible.  These partial dentures are removable to allow for easy cleaning.

Your partials will be designed by Dr. Ramer to best fit your specific needs.  Because they require use of soft tissue and remaining teeth, a thorough examination will be performed to determine if dental work is needed prior to a removable partial denture fitting.

Partial dentures are a fantastic option for patients who may not be a good candidate for dental implants.
