Wearing masks, standing six feet apart, and only going out when absolutely necessary are some common adjustments that have been made over the past few months. Here at Broward Dental Group, Dr. Michael Ramer and our team have made many changes of our own to help ensure you stay risk-free while still getting the quality safe dentistry you need to be healthy.
We understand that you are likely concerned about the health and safety of yourself and your loved ones, even as businesses reopen. Because of this, as Broward Dental Group reopens, we wanted to let you know of all the safety, cleanliness, and upgrades we have taken to help ensure you receive safe dentistry in Tamarac, FL. We have always been proud of our cleanliness and health standards before, but these extra precautions are to help you and our team stay safe and feel comfortable.
What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe
Minimizing Contact
For us, cleanliness begins before you reach the front door! We have made changes to our patient appointment process, including adding more time in between patients to allow for proper and thorough cleaning. We encourage patients to wait in their car until their appointment, at which time we conduct temperature checks and provide complimentary masks to be worn while walking through our office. Additionally, we offer a new touch-free charting system, where you can fill out your forms in the comfort of your home in order to minimize contact in the office. All of this is designed to provide safe dentistry, minimize the chance of infection, and keep you as healthy as possible.
Upgrades to the Operatory Rooms
In order to keep the air you breath clean, we have invested in new HEPA filters and UV sanitizers for our air conditioning and circulation units. To further support this, we provide air purification units in each operatory as well as have added new door enclosures to prevent aerosol spread during treatment. This is all to minimize the risk of infection that could be spread through the air conditioner or what is possibly lingering from before.
New, Safe Equipment
For the safety of both our patients and staff, we have upgraded our personal protective equipment (PPE) for our team to wear while performing your treatments. This helps keep both you and us safe, while still providing the quality care you’ve come to expect from us. We also use mobile extra oral vacuuming systems to suction aerosol spray that occurs during treatments. This suction captures and contains aerosol droplets and filters it through a HEPA filter along with UV sanitizing light. This helps ensure sterilization of each operatory room before, during, and after care.
